We have been so busy preparing for the holidays we haven't posted since Thanksgiving. Last week we had two Christmas parties and the Kendall Cut-throat Christmas was yesterday, what a blast! Justin was a stellar Santa (think drunk Will Farell). Lila's new buddy, Jack was born on Monday too!
Today is her 2nd birthday party which is shaping up to be quite the fun event. Monday, July and Abby came over to make holiday crafts with Lila. We are off to Mexico on Sunday with Nana, Pops, and her aunt Stacey, Uncle Chris with cousins Catie and Claire.
We have had such a wonderful weekend. Thanksgiving was spent at Nama's house with a yummy spread of turkey and all the trimmings with her Uncles Steve and Larry and all her Kendall cousins. Friday we took the MAX train to the Macy's Day Parade with Maggie Rose and her mama. Friday night we watched the lighting of the Christmas Tree. It is only Saturday and we have had so much fun! Love to all who are far away...you are in our thoughts.
THis year we took cousin Jaya to the pumpkin patch. We had so much fun. It was one of those amazing, crystal blue, crisp fall days. Surprisingly, Lila was spooked by the "choo-choo", but she love the petting zoo and the hay bail maze.
Sunday we headed over to Vivi's parents' house for Vivian's first birthday party. Milo, Davis, Maggie Rose, Vivi and Lila were all there. Lila and Maggie Rose loved the present opening and the balloon animals made by Vivi's Dad.
We were so crazy this summer we didn't post any pics. Here are some highlights. California, Yellowstone, all the street festivals, zoo trips, a visit from Gramma and Grampa Dawes, swimming and fountain hopping!
Summer has been so much fun with Lila. We drove to Montana with Aunt Steph and cousin Jaya to see Lila's "GG", my mom's mom who is 96. We also spent time with Great Aunt Kay and Second cousin, Richmond. We then drove to Yellowstone where Lila exclaimed that the buffalo were "huge"! Justin traveled to Vanuatu for a visit with Lila's Nana and Pops who are in the Peace Corps.
We are spending the rest of the summer camping, swimming and going to the library on really hot days! Love to all you and yours!
Turtle, Pato (duck in Spanish), Rana (frog), Pooopoo (thanks, Nama) and Toot! We tried manatee today and it came out very similar to Emmie. She also loves to call her cousins by name - Jakey, Cheezer and Jaya, sounds like Chaw.
We had a blast at Jen and Davey's BBQ. Lila and Vivi we crazy for the new YoBaby I bought on the way! Lila is getting more and more animated every day. Oh, how fun it is!
On Mom's day we cooked brunch for the Kendall Clan. It was so great to see Jake, Emmie and Jaya playing with Lila in the sun. After brunch, we headed for the park which is also one of Lila's favorite new words, pronounced, "paaaa". Not very far from her word for pool.
Last weekend was our first co-ed baby shower held in honor of our newest soon-to-be arrival, Baby Morgan. Fun was had by all, especially the dads who were betting on the first baby to cry. Ah, the joys of parenthood!
